Data Protection Policy

1. Who will process your data?

The data controller is “Sociedad Estatal Correos y Telégrafos, S.A., S.M.E” (hereinafter, “Correos”), with Spanish Tax Code (CIF) A-83052407 and registered address at Calle del Conde de Peñalver 19, 28006 Madrid (Spain). 

To ensure this processing is managed correctly, Correos has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPD or DPO) to whom you can write via e-mail at the following email address: dpdgrupocorreos@correos.com

 

2. What are your data processed for and why?

Purpose: The User’s personal data will be processed in order to send, to the e-mail address indicated by the User, information about any activity related to Correoslabs, such as: entrepreneurship competitions, offer of spaces and coworking centres, talks, training and other events related to entrepreneurship, advisory services and acceleration programmes for start-ups. 

The products and services about which Correoslabs sends the information may be its own, those of other companies in the Correoslabs Group or those of other collaborating companies whose sector is related to Correoslabs' activity (e.g. Business centres, real estate agencies, training companies, etc.)

Data processed for this purpose: Contact details (e-mail address).

Legal basis: The basis for this processing is the data subject’s consent.

However, you may withdraw your consent to receive these types of commercial communications at any time by any of the following means:

• By sending an e-mail to derechos.protecciondatos.correos@correos.com or by writing to: Calle del Conde de Peñalver 19, 28006 Madrid.

• Via the “Unsubscribe” link or similar links that appear in all communications.

 

3. What data will be processed?

The data processed by Correos are taken from the form entitled “Correoslabs Communications”.

 

4. Are your data communicated to third parties?

In general, we do not intend to communicate your data to people outside Correos. Nonetheless, to comply with the law, we may be required to share your data with third parties such as public authorities (e.g. FCSE) or the courts. 

 

5. How long will your data be processed?

The personal data obtained from the request to send information will be kept for as long as you do not withdraw your consent. At this point, they will be blocked, being available only at the request of judges and courts, the Public Prosecutor’s Office or the competent public administrations during the limitation period for any actions that may arise and, once the blocking period has elapsed, they will be fully erased. As an example, the statute of limitations will be 3 years in most cases derived from the data protection regulations. 

 

6. What are your rights?

Users may exercise the following rights related to the processing of their data to the extent they are recognised in the data protection regulations applicable at any time:

a) Right of access: if you exercise this right you will find out what type of data we are processing and the characteristics of the processing we are carrying out.

b) Right to rectification: if you exercise this right you can request your data to be changed because they are inaccurate or untruthful.

c) Right to portability: if you exercise this right you can obtain an interoperable copy of the data being processed in the cases defined by law.

d) Right to limitation of data processing: if you exercise this right you can limit the processing of your data in the cases defined by law.

e) Right to opposition: if you exercise this right you can refuse the processing of your data under the circumstances defined by law.

f) Right to erasure: you can request the erasure of your data if the requirements defined by law are met.

g) Right to withdraw consent.

You may exercise your rights through any of the following channels, indicating the right being exercised and attaching a copy of your Spanish Identification Document or similar document as well as any other documentation you deem to be necessary:

You can find a set of forms that will help you exercise your rights on the website of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). Moreover, we inform you that you have the right to file a claim with the control authority (in Spain, the AEPD) if you feel that your rights have been breached.

Correos will provide the requested information within one (1) month from receiving the request. Said period may be extended to two (2) months if necessary based on the complexity and number of requests.
